EG Workforce is hiring on behalf of JRS USA in Schoolcraft, Mi! J. Rettenmaier USA is looking for Pre-Grind Operators to help with the production of food-grade fibers that go into breads, muffins, waffle mix, etc.

  • Day Shift: 6am to 6pm

    • $16 per hour

    • The schedule alternates 48 hours (4 Days) one week, 36 hours (3 Days) the following week. Must be able to work weekends.

  • Night Shift: 6pm to 6am

    • $16.75 per hour

    • The schedule alternates 48 hours (4 Days) one week, 36 hours (3 Days) the following week. Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Maintain all Processing specifications

  • ​​​​​Maintenance support of all production equipment

  • Operation of testing equipment for maintaining product specification

  • Assist Control Room Personnel as needed

  • Run Control Room Lab testing equipment

  • Ability to change filter socks and cages

  • Ability to fill Bulk Trucks, Powder Trucks and Railcars

  • Ability to read and follow daily schedules for Pulp plan, Processing, Packaging and Blending

  • Basic Data Entry on computer work station

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Valid Michigan Drivers License (prerequisite for forklift license)

  • Do not need to be forklift certified. THEY WILL TRAIN!

Physical Requirements:

  • Job requires for long periods of time and frequency

  • Walking to various locations in the facility

  • Climbing stairs, ladders and straight ladders with man cage

  • Standing, crawling, crouching and kneeling

  • Out-of-position working

  • Working in the elements during all seasons

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on occasions

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma preferred but not required!

  • Strong sense of Safety

  • Be able to read, write and speak English

  • Able to work effectively and safely in tight and/or confined spaces in all areas of the plant

  • Intermediate user knowledge or MS office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word preferred

  • Good troubleshooting skills

  • Understand paperwork and properly be able to complete

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Must be able to work in a Team atmosphere

Interactions and Tools/Equipment Utilized in the Job:

  • Consults with Maintenance personnel and staff in Logistics, Warehouses, Production and QA/QC

  • Utilizes standard office equipment and computer work station
