Sr. Manager EH&S, Full Time

accupac is looking for a Sr Manager EH&S to join our 1st shift team at our Mainland PA. location.

Sr. Manager EH&S Basic Job Functions:  

The Senior Manager, Environmental, Health, and Safety manages and implements all company environmental, health & safety programs. The successful candidate will develop and manage the company's environmental, health, and safety programs and standards. This role will ensure compliance with the company's Environmental Statement and Health & Safety policies, maintain effective relations with the regulators and local community, and ensure company programs and activities are communicated as appropriate. In addition, this individual will record and investigate all accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents. 

The Sr. Manager EH&S will identify and anticipate safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions, rendering opinions on new equipment and procedures, investigating violations, and recommending preventive programs. Responsible for ensuring corporate compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, interpreting standards, enforcing adherence to regulations, and advising management on needed actions. This individual will identify sources of environmental pollution by collecting and analyzing data regarding emission measurements, atmospheric monitoring, meteorological and mineralogical assessments, and soil and water samples. The Sr. Manager EH&S will recommend corrections and alleviations of pollution/exposure by assessing problems, identifying and evaluating pollution control approaches, and establishing standards.  

Sr. Manager EH&S Essential Job Functions: 

• Supports managers and all employees daily to ensure compliance with EH&S legislation and company safe working practices.  

• Designs and implements employee training programs to improve EH&S performance and measured KPIs continuously.  

• Work with claim adjusters, managed care system, doctors, management teams, and employees to mitigate time lost from work and claims expenses; ensure effective rehabilitation after injury, assess causes, and implement plans to prevent reoccurrence. Obtain and keep current the reporting and record-keeping requirements for safety and workers' compensation. Communicate and coordinate with safety and workers' compensation-related regulatory agencies. 

• Act as the main point of contact for all external regulatory visits and audits 

• Displays professional behavior in the workplace at all times and works constructively with other managers as part of a team committed to achieving the company’s goals. 

• Motivates subordinates to share and achieve these same ideals. 

Sr. Manager EH&S Position Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree  

• Professional certification in EH&S  

• Knowledgeable in DOT regulations and requirements 

• Experience with PA and NJ Workers Compensation Claims Process 

• 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment  

• Experience with MS Office- Word, Outlook and PowerPoint  

• Experience leading projects with many stakeholders  

• Experience managing staff; mentoring and training
