Territory Sales Manager | OmniCable
OmniCable is a trusted redistributor of specialty wire and cable to electrical wholesalers and is staffed with the most experienced professionals in the industry. Currently, we are looking for a talented and tenacious Territory Sales Manager (TSM) that thrives in a rapid outside sales environment to join OmniCable’s sales team.
As a TSM, you will sell our full range of specialty wire and cable, including related wire and cable products. The position will focus within a defined medium-to-large size territory with new and existing business accounts while developing and maintaining long-term relationships with electrical distribution management personnel to facilitate future sales growth. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer and revenue growth objectives. You must be energetic and comfortable building business relationships in-person and at all levels of an organization.
Territory Sales Manager (Outside Sales) responsibilities:- Identify customer potential in the electrical distributor marketplace
- Close sales and achieve monthly quotas
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
- Maintain and expand your customer base within your assigned territory – up to 70% travel
- Partner with Account Managers & National Account Managers, when appropriate, to build pipelines
- Accountable for a full medium-to-large territory objective
- Interact with internal personnel to resolve customer issues and questions
- Provide in-service/on-line educational seminars for electrical distributors and their customers when requested
- Provide insight into sales contracts and pricing with customers; review existing contracts to identify any expirations
- Review current literature for new developments within the wire & cable industry, including competitive information
- Attend and exhibit at local conventions to gain new customers through the detailing of new products, as needed
- Ability to successfully sell in both short and long-term sales cycles
- Desire to sell tangible products and services
- Adhere to and ensure the compliance of OmniCable’s code of conduct, company policies, and standards
- Minimum 3 years Sales experience; outside preferred
- Distribution industry experience
- Demonstrated track record of business growth and over-achieving sales quotas
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proficiency with corporate productivity and presentation tools
- Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Possess a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving records
Preferred:- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 2 years of industrial sales experience
- At least 2 years of B2B sales with demonstrated negotiation skills
- Technical certification (Mechanical / Electrical / etc. ...)
