Terra Technologies LLC is a rapidly expanding nationwide engineering and construction company.  Terra Technologies LLC is unique in the fact that it blends civil engineering with utility engineering to provide design support for roadway projects impacting facilities of some of the largest utility companies in the nation.

Job Summary:
Construction Foreman complete organizational and project management responsibilities to effectively lead the construction team and ensure they have all the resources they need to perform a successful project. The candidate will be responsible for performing underground utility trench excavation that mainly consist of placing conduit and/or cables in trenches, splice conduit sections (install couplers) as directed, place anchors, pedestals, vaults, etc. to complete construction tasks. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of the construction industry.

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
  • Safety is top priority at Conguex/Terra, Perform JSA’s, Confined Space Entry and Equipment Inspection through an online platform.
  • Accurately enter timesheets and document project performance through an online platform.
  • Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment, materials and supplies needed for daily work.
  • Must assist leadership (Superintendent and Project Manager) with all duties.
  • Must be able to operate excavation equipment, loaders, jackhammers, core drills, concrete saws, and other miscellaneous equipment safely.
  • Hand dig with shovels, picks, digging bars to expose located utilities, access u/g vaults and pedestals, and complete trenches.
  • Place conduit and/or cables in trenches, splice conduits sections (install couplers) as directed, place anchors, pedestal, vaults, etc. to complete construction tasks.
  • Fully restore worksite at completion of work, refill trenches and holes, tamp soil, replant any plants or shrubs that were disturbed during our construction, place temporary asphalt on streets were excavations have been performed.
  • When required and if appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment used on the jobsite to complete daily work assignments.
  • Clean and maintain all company vehicles and equipment assigned for use.
  • Capable of working in all temperatures and climates.
  • Able to perform physical tasks for the entire assigned work shift.
  • Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.
  • Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline.
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
  • Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
  • Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly.
  • Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary.
  • Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
  • Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.
  • Other duties may be assigned consistent with job description.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • High school or equivalent education
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Previous experience and knowledge of underground utility construction
  • Subject to pre-employment drug test and MVR
  • Ability to operate all equipment safely and productively
  • Knowledge and understanding of reading drawings and ability to follow specifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with crew, leadership, and clients
  • Function effectively as an integral part of a team
  • Must be able to meet physical demands of the position
  • Work safely in all conditions
  • Must be available to travel overnight to various sites as required
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  • All work is performed at remote locations; driving and sitting are required.
  • Primary Site locations vary, Jacksonville, Orlando and Miami, Florida
  • All work is outdoors, subject to inclement weather conditions.
  • Stand and walk lengthy distances (1+) miles over uneven terrain in all weather conditions.
  • Lift and/or move 50 to 150 pounds.
