The maintenance department is responsible for maximizing equipment operation through PM and routine maintenance duties. The overall objective of this position is to fix equipment, install upgrades, and maximize production safety based time on equipment.
Essential Accountabilities- Support process efficiency through completing the following:
- Ensure vacuums and extruders are running
- Ovens, inline, chiller, cooling tower is working properly
- Any repairs or issues with lighting, heaters on extruders, cords, cooling fans are addressed
- Conduits are repaired and installed as needed
- Troubleshooting A/C issues, repairing if possible
- Checking oven amp readings and fuses on inline during mold changes
- Ensure the integrity of Proto products by incorporating and complying with applicable standards and specifications and ensuring machinery is operating efficiently, effectively and safely
- Foster interdepartmental communication and collaborations through open dialogue and addressing electrical and mechanical issues and repairs as requested
- Other duties and assignments as required
Qualifications
Education/Certifications- High School Diploma/GED required
- Journeyman Electrician license preferred
- PLC certification preferred
- 4-6 years of relevant experience required
- 6-10 years of relevant experience preferred
