GENERAL PURPOSE
The purpose of the Facility Technician is to support the facility department by performing a wide range of general duties to include repairs and maintenance. This role will support the operations team by maintaining ancillary equipment necessary for production and ensure a safe work environment meeting all GMP guidelines.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facility repair and improvement
- General maintenance and repair
- Light Plumbing
- Light Electrical (NO ELECTRICAL WILL BE DONE)
- Carpentry
- Painting
- Perform PM/Work Orders on time for Facility equipment, including but not limited to HVAC, Air Compressors, Dust Collectors, Waste Water, Boiler System, and Chiller System.
- Willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends as requested by Management.
- All other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience Prior experience in manufacturing or construction or maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Read and interpret written instructions and diagrams
- Must be detail oriented and the ability to keep a clean and organized working area at all times
- Must have physical ability to work on feet for a full shift, regularly lift and carry heavy containers, and perform all duties of job in a safe manner
- Must be able to operate light machinery and construction tools such as drills, saws, grinders etc.
- Must be able to climb and work off of ladders and operate a scissor lift in a safe manner.
- Must be able to use a computer or tablet to complete documentation for PM’s and Work Orders.
- Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack in congested areas.
Certification or License:- Forklift certification needed within 3 months after hire date.
- Must have a valid FL driver’s license to operate company vehicles.
Protection:
-Hairnets, Beard covers, eyewear and gloves are required in this area.
-Protective clothing is required in this area. (long sleeve, pants)
-Any other protective devices will be provided by Ion Labs.
Location:
Largo, Fl
Pay:
$18 - $21 depending on experience.
