Responsibilities:- Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties
- Ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance
- Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions
- Conducts new employee orientations to foster positive attitude toward company goals
- Works with management and senior HR in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
- Assists in investigations of employee relations issues
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
- Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organization
- Ensures consistent, timely, and accurate application and compliance with applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Manages and tracks employee attendance
- Ensures plant is FLSA compliant
- Conducts training when requested and as needed
- Enters new hire paperwork as well as status changes into HRIS system along with processing terminations and offboarding
- Initial review and submission of payroll for local site
- Provides strategic input to departmental projects
- Makes data driven decisions and develops sustainable solutions
- Continuously evaluates existing programs and processes, and proposes new initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Understands, identifies, and addresses conflict within own team and between teams
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs and recommends corrective action
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or other related field
- 5+ Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
- 5+ Years – Experience working in Human Resources Position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with hourly and salaried employees across multi-states
- Experience in directly supporting an organization undergoing transformative change
- Lead Like an Owner
- Makes decisions by putting overall company success first before department/individual success
- Demonstrates ability to think analytically and synthesize complex information
