Job Summary: 

 

The Facility Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs in a timely and safe manner for assigned equipment and facilities including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.  This position will perform facilities-related work across multiple facilities in Tulsa and some travel may be involved to other company locations. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair 

  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs 

  • Plans repair work using building’s blueprints or equipment manual as needed 

  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures) 

  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems 

  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities 

  • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance 

  • Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production operations 

  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of machines 

  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust machines 

  • Document all machine malfunctions to track machine efficiency 

  • Perform routine visual inspections of machinery and equipment 

  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report findings or solutions to supervisor 

  • Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc. 

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed 

  • Replace burned out light bulbs on exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc. 

  • Follow safety policy and procedures to include, but not limited to, lock out-tag-out, hot work permit and confined spaces 

  • Operate forklift whenever necessary 

  • May need to operate scissor lift when maintenance or repairs are needed to be performed at heights 

  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Required Skills/Abilities:  

  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers 

  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair 

  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools 

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 

Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 

  • Related experience preferred 

  • On-the-job training offered 

 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking 

  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces 

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
