Description

As the Vereco Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of technical service representatives to ensure that print equipment is fully functioning and provides top-level client services for our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring your team adequately maintains parts, inventory, and core returns, completes and submits accurate and timely reports, logs, receipts, and vouchers relating to service activities, and seeks ways to improve service metric performance. The Service Manager will review key performance indicators, manage budgets, and prepare and present performance information for clients, stakeholders, and directors.

As the service manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Meet and maintain field service performance benchmarks and SLAs, including maintaining parts costs and other related targets and goals
  • Manage all aspects of field service operations; field technician/service call scheduling, parts ordering/receiving, core returns, monthly meetings, spot checks, inventory
  • Communicate and interact with customers, field service management and other organizational departments as needed, in a way that is courteous, positive, and professional
  • Manages employee’s performance regarding client project meetings, overall execution, and meeting deadlines
  • Maintain adequate staffing to meet the demands of the business through proper forecasting, scheduling, and training of available resources
  • Supervise a team of technicians, including but not limited to, hiring, mentoring, creating schedule coverages, performance management and counseling
  • Manage and oversee activities within a region or sub-region
  • Appropriate and timely escalation of issues to the right level within the organization
  • Provide backup for repairs, maintenance and other print equipment responsibilities for accounts that need additional support
  • Audit and review meter read collection and employee schedules
  • Preventative maintenance planning/strategizing, and assessing equipment needs
  • Identifying trends to proactively improve service delivery, including reviewing device, part, or consumable failure to escalate to Service Directors
  • Train and provide technical support for Vereco Team members
  • Manage and maintain relationship with outside service vendors to ensure vendors are meeting contractual requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Electronics of Computer Associates Degree
  • 2+ break/fix experience on various printer and/or copier manufacturers
  • Strong technical skills with ability to train and mentor
  • Self-driven and dependable with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Strong time management skills with planning and prioritization skills
  • Strong decision-making skills with demonstrated aptitude to problem solve and determine proper service solutions for customers
  • Ability to work in a decentralized environment and fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite), internet with ability to learn applicable labor management software
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time in assigned territory
  • Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or combination of education and work experience
  • Healthcare Industry experience is a plus, but not required
  • Technical background in print, copy, scan, fax devices and understanding of network
  • Experience Managing Field Service teams in multiple locations

Physical Demands

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time in assigned territory
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
  • Requires travel throughout hospital complete and grounds, both walking and driving
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, work at floor level and walk long distances
  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors.
  • Occasional exposure to variations in temperature, noise, mechanical, electrical, fume/odor, chemical, toxic waste, and wet hazards

$62k to $68K DOE
Various immunizations and/or medical testing may be required at the company's expense as a condition of employment for any positions that work on-site regularly in a hospital or medical setting
