About the Role:
​We're searching for a dynamic Engineering VP of High Voltage to lead a talented team of engineers in crafting cutting-edge high voltage products. You'll be the driving force behind assembling a mix of experienced and up-and-coming engineers, along with technicians and assembly experts, to bring the company's initial prototypes to life. The company is located in Northwest New Jersey, however will consider satellite locations if we find top-notch talent.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact on the team as a Vice President:

• ​​​​​​The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in designing and supporting AC to DC converters, specifically those capable of generating 20KV to 250KV with power levels reaching up to 100KW
• Hands-on approach – be in the lab day in and day out, providing guidance and insights to the team
• Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this position offers direct interaction with the Chief Executive Officer.

• 10+ years in relevant senior-level engineering leadership
• Bachelor of Science in a relevant technical discipline
• Exhibits excellent leadership and problem-solving skills crucial for building and developing our newly formed team
• Preferably brings a working network of experienced high voltage engineers to draw from
• Aims to start the team with the goal of developing two product platforms per year
• Direct hands-on oversight of the engineering laboratory including safety requirements and facility fit out.
• Extensive knowledge of high voltage converter design topologies, with the ability to architect optimized solutions meeting customer requirements, leveraging appropriate pre-existing company technology where applicable.
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams of high voltage engineers, providing insight into mechanical engineering, compliance, firmware engineering, and test engineering
• Proficient in project management and customer interactions necessary for facilitating product development
• Understanding of cost and sourcing to execute project plans effectively
• Solid grasp of manufacturing process development and assembly expertise, enabling both domestic and overseas production
• Collaborates with business unit executives and the commercial team to seamlessly integrate the team into the company culture
• Engages with all engineering executives to uphold best-in-class design techniques and standards
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective administrator of the department with fiscal oversight and commitment to team development
• Maintains high ethical standards in all aspects of work
