Concessions Staff Members play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and managing concession stands at events or venues. These individuals are responsible for efficiently handling food and beverage sales, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for patrons.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

Customer Service:
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service to patrons at concession stands.
  • Assist customers with menu inquiries, make recommendations, and process orders accurately.
Food and Beverage Handling:
  • Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items, including snacks, drinks, and potentially hot meals.
  • Ensure food safety standards are followed during preparation and handling.
Transaction Handling:
  • Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.
Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Restock items as needed and report inventory shortages to supervisors.
Cleanliness and Sanitation:
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in concession areas, including food preparation surfaces, serving areas, and dining spaces.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines to prevent foodborne illnesses.
  • Ensure compliance with health codes, food safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Stay informed about any changes in regulations that may affect concession operations.
Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with other concessions staff members and event personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to address any issues or concerns.
Upselling and Promotions:
  • Promote special offers, combo deals, or promotions to enhance sales.
  • Encourage customers to try new items and provide information about featured products.
Clean-Up and Closing Procedures:
  • Participate in post-event clean-up activities, including the disposal of waste and cleaning of concession areas.
  • Follow closing procedures to secure cash registers, equipment, and concession stands.
  • Participate in training sessions on food handling, customer service, and safety protocols.
  • Stay informed about menu items and changes.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a state issued Food Handler's certificate. 
  • Previous experience in food service or customer service is a plus.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and health codes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
  • Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving items in a concession environment.
