Telematics Administrator – Columbia, SC
Hills Machinery is seeking a telematics administrator. The telematics administrator assists our multiple service departments by way of monitoring GPS data transactions in order to better serve our customers. The administrator would manage our fleets maintenance intervals, service bulletins, coordinates and overall condition throughout its life in the Hills Machinery Fleet. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. (Other duties may be assigned)
  • Handles phone calls, advise customers on limited technical problems, customer service needs, adding segments to work orders containing job information and specifying job instruction, identifying customer and machine.
  • Complete work order assignments, lube van service scheduling.
  • Assists in establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet schedules and deadlines.
  • Manage and open all PIP/Bulletin/Recall Invoices following the warranty guidelines of OEM.
  • Must be proficient in the use of calculators, copy equipment, computers, etc.

 Qualification: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Customer Service experience
  • Administrative Support experience 
 Education, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer literate, proficient with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel and Outlook required.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment, such as construction or forestry equipment is beneficial.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teammates.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Must be able to self-manage/self-motivate.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as dealer operating guides and warranty guidelines.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Quick learner with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Organization skills
