Our Impact So Far:
Our expansive WECommunity database boasts over 17,000 small and medium enterprises, all owned, managed, and controlled by inspiring women entrepreneurs. We've witnessed steady growth in our network through strategic global events, regional initiatives, and robust digital marketing campaigns. In 2024, we have ambitious plans to double the size of our WECommunity, marking a significant stride towards our goal of empowering more women-owned businesses by the end of 2024.

Why Operations Department?
As an Operations Intern at WEConnect International, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various aspects of our organization's operations. Under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will gain hands-on experience in finance, human resources, and global training and certification projects. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization while developing valuable skills in operations management. Working alongside seasoned Operations professionals, interns gain invaluable insights into best practices and emerging trends in non-profit organization management, which are integral aspects of WEConnect International's mission. This internship not only provides practical exposure to various HR functions but also fosters a supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and personal development. What You Will Achieve:
As a valued member of the Operations Department, you'll contribute to our mission in various capacities:
 
  1. Finance Support:
    • Assist in financial data entry, analysis, and reporting.
    • Aid in the preparation of financial statements and budgets.
    • Support invoice processing and accounts receivable/payable activities.
    • Assist in conducting financial research and analysis as required.
  1. Human Resources Assistance:
    • Assist with recruitment processes including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.
    • Support employee onboarding and orientation activities.
    • Assist in maintaining employee records and databases.
    • Aid in HR policy and procedure documentation and updates.
  2. Global Training and Certification Projects:
    • Support the coordination and logistics of training programs and certification events.
    • Assist in developing training materials and resources.
    • Aid in communication efforts with global partners and stakeholders.
    • Provide administrative support for certification processes.
  3. Administrative Support:
    • Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
    • Help manage COO's calendar and schedule appointments and meetings.
    • Assist in organizing internal and external events and meetings.
    • Provide support to other departments and projects as needed.

What You Bring:
  • Passion for Women's Economic Empowerment: A deep commitment to advancing women in business.
  • Educational Background: Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Exceptional Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cross-Cultural Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse cultural settings.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: A readiness to learn coupled with practical problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in standard productivity software. Willingness to learn virtual meeting software.
  • Equipment and Connectivity: Personal laptop, mobile phone, robust internet connection, and data plan. (WEConnect International cannot provide or reimburse for these items.)
  • Preferred Skills: Business, Human Resources Administration, and organization skills.
