The Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership, Inc. (WMEP) is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Consultant / Senior Consultant to deliver a breadth of strategic level services. The consultant is required to reside and work in the Milwaukee metro or Madison markets.
Job Duties- The Consultant will travel through the WMEP area to collaborate with WMEP Business Development Leaders and fellow consultants in assessing and scoping client needs/pain points and solutions.
- While collaborating with Business Development Leaders and fellow consultants, develop impactful consulting.
- Identify opportunities and potential WMEP solutions across the breadth of WMEP service offerings. Become a trusted business advisor to our clients and to fellow consultants.
- Deliver high impact consulting on a breadth of strategic level services including growth & strategy, talent and culture, transformation and operational excellence to client senior leadership teams. Adapt delivery materials as needed to meet client needs.
- Manage the growth and strategy services practice.
- Working experience in General Management, Sales, Marketing (including VP, Director, GM) roles while working for manufacturing companies. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment at a professional level.
- Strategic thinker. Proven abilities in seeing how strategy and initiatives fit together. Experience in developing and executing strategic, marketing, sales, strategic workforce, and operational plans. Demonstrated successful track record of creating and executing a strategic plan to achieve intended results.
- High financial acumen, proven P&L responsibility, preferably multi-site.
- Experience in both domestic and international markets.
- Able to interact and be highly respected at the C-Suite Level. Demonstrated acumen in engaging customers at a high level.
- Experience in internal/external consulting role preferred.
- Experience in managing direct reports is preferred.
- MBA preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business or manufacturing-related discipline or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and become a trusted business advisor at a strategic level. Able to flex and adapt to meet client’s relative business maturity.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills including strong presentation abilities.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and technology savvy.
- Ability to resolve problems and make decisions quickly toward organizational goals.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
