Lawrence Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Surveyor to join our team. The Site Surveyor will visit sites and buildings across the United States and document existing conditions. Applicants can expect to travel from coast to coast frequently and must be capable of inputting field sheet measurements accurately into AutoCAD or Revit with a deliverable of Revit floor Plans, RCP, Building Elevations, relevant Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical information.

The key responsibilities include:
 
  1. Conduct thorough on-site surveys and assessments to gather essential data related to project specifications, site conditions, and environmental factors.
  2. Utilize advanced surveying equipment, including GPS, laser scanners, and drones, to accurately measure and document site features.
  3. Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements and objectives.
  4. Prepare detailed reports and documentation outlining survey findings, including topographical maps, site plans, and elevation drawings.
  5. Identify potential challenges or obstacles related to site conditions and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  6. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  7. Maintain organized records of survey data, photographs, and other documentation for reference and future use.
  8. Provide support during the design and planning phases by offering insights and recommendations based on site survey findings.
  9. Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in surveying and incorporate innovative techniques into the surveying process.



Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Land Surveying, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in site surveying, preferably in the architecture or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software, such as total stations, GPS receivers, AutoCAD, and GIS.
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drawings.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documenting survey findings.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours as needed to accommodate project requirements.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment
The work environment for this position is dynamic and fast-paced, characterized by frequent travel across the United States to diverse project sites, offering an exciting opportunity for exploration and engagement with varied landscapes and communities.

Physical Demands
