We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical design and drafting, with strong technical skills and a passion for creating precise and functional designs.

- 3D SolidWorks experience and 2D experience with parts design, parts creation, assembly creation and drawing creation
- Proven SolidWorks experience to include:
- Routing features, large assemblies, multi-level BOMs, weldments
- Previous experience with an ERP system.
- Responsible for structuring and writing bill of materials.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures used in mechanical design.
- Experience working with API is an asset.
- Familiar with ANSI and GD&T standards.
- Participates in designing special modifications to existing machinery or parts.
- Acts as support for engineer by taking verbal or rough draft concepts and putting them into 3D model for review.
- Give input in the development of procedures for documentation control.
- Check drawings and help manage drawing control.
- Measure existing equipment using common inspection tools to support sustaining engineering and “as built” drawings.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and given tasks in a timely manner.
- Communicate with manufacturing personnel throughout the production process.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results as needed.
- Participate in GDS Safety and Quality programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
Experience / Education Requirements:
- Requires an associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a 3D drafter.
- Professional certifications are a plus.
- Skilled in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer and math skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- The ability to use calipers, micrometers, scales, and other basic measuring tools.
- Ability to conduct FEA, through 3D Modeling is a plus.
- Oilfield services equipment design experience is a plus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk, use hands to handle/feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time
