Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Our ideal candidate will play a critical role in delivering patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring both the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after operations. The RN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists, to provide high-quality care tailored to each patient’s needs. The incumbent clinical expertise will be vital in preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile techniques, and implementing protocols for infection control. 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Prepare and maintain the operating room using sterile techniques.

·       Perform pre-op assessments and ensure patient safety and comfort.

·       Monitor patient condition and vital signs during surgery.

·       Assist the surgical team and administer medications as needed.

·       Document care provided and patient responses accurately.

·       Provide post-op care, monitor recovery, and offer discharge instructions.

·       Follow infection control protocols and respond to emergencies.

Collaborate with the surgical team for seamless patient care.

Required Qualifications:

·       Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.

·       BLS.

·       DC RN license.

·       Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.

·       Requirements specified for specialty units.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements: 

The position may involve extended periods of standing or sitting, the use of standard office or clinical equipment, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and potential local travel. Work settings may vary from office-based to hospital or community environments depending on the role.
