Our ideal candidate will provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide safe and competent pre-operative nursing care in line with hospital policies. 

  • Conduct patient assessments, review medical histories, and ensure all documentation is complete before surgery. 

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare staff for proper patient prep. 

  • Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery. 

  • Monitor patient status and respond to any changes or emergencies. 

  • Maintain accurate records and follow infection control protocols. 

  • Support and guide team members as needed. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program 

  • BLS 

  • DC RN license 

  • Prefer one-year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care setting 

  • Requirements specified for specialty units 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:  

The position may involve extended periods of standing or sitting, the use of standard office or clinical equipment, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and potential local travel. Work settings may vary from office-based to hospital or community environments depending on the role.
