Our ideal candidate will provide intensive, around-the-clock care to critically ill or premature newborns, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, performing procedures like intubation or IV placement, coordinating care plans with the medical team, and educating parents on their baby's condition and care needs. Essentially, the Registered Nurse will focus on the complex medical needs of newborns requiring specialized care in a NICU setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 24/7 intensive care to critically ill or premature newborns in the NICU.

Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform procedures like intubation or IV placement.

Coordinate care plans with the medical team.

Educate and support parents on their baby’s condition and care needs.

Deliver specialized, compassionate care tailored to each newborn’s medical needs.
Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program

NRP Certification required.

BLS Certification required.
-
DC RN License.

Prefer one-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
The position may involve extended periods of standing or sitting, the use of standard office or clinical equipment, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and potential local travel. Work settings may vary from office-based to hospital or community environments depending on the role.
