Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay: Based on experience

Our ideal candidate will support safe and smooth delivery by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with epidurals, and providing care during childbirth. They will also educate and support parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery. As a key source of emotional support, they will guide and comfort patients through the childbirth experience, answering questions and addressing concerns with empathy. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure a safe and smooth delivery process 

  • Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs 

  • Administer medications as needed during labor 

  • Assist with epidurals and other pain management methods 

  • Provide physical and emotional support during childbirth 

  • Educating parents about newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery 

  • Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. 

  • ACLS, NRP (or obtained within three months of employment). 

  • BLS. 

  • DC RN License. 

  • Prefer one-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting. 

  • Fetal Monitoring and Training Basic Dysrhythmia Class. 

  • Requirements specified for specialty units. 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:  

The position may involve extended periods of standing or sitting, the use of standard office or clinical equipment, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and potential local travel. Work settings may vary from office-based to hospital or community environments depending on the role.
