Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Our ideal candidate will meet the needs of the patient by having knowledge of surgical procedures, preparing supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical cases. Anticipates the needs in the surgical field when passing instruments and assist the surgical team in all procedures. The surgical technician is responsible for his/her case clean up, for positioning patients, moving patients and room turnovers.  

Required Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical procedures. 

  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide instruments during surgery. 

  • Assist the surgical team throughout the procedure. 

  • Ensure proper patient positioning and assist with patient movement as needed. 

  • Conduct room turnovers and clean up the surgical area after each case. 

  • Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures to effectively support the surgical team. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalency 

  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certification or degree from an accredited nursing program or equivalent 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:  

The position may involve extended periods of standing or sitting, the use of standard office or clinical equipment, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and potential local travel. Work settings may vary from office-based to hospital or community environments depending on the role.
