Role: 

Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Performance Tester to lead the design, development, and execution of performance and automation testing for complex, cloud-based SOA applications. The ideal candidate will support mission-critical IRS systems, including the Information Returns Master File (IRMF), Individual Master File (IMF), and Business Master File (BMF). This role requires strong technical expertise in Agile environments and a deep commitment to ensuring application scalability, reliability, and responsiveness through comprehensive performance testing strategies 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and execute backend performance and load tests for APIs, services, and data pipelines. 

  • Build and maintain automated test frameworks using tools like TestNG, JUnit, SoapUI, SeleniumHD, and JMeter. 

  • Develop and integrate Java/Python-based test scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub. 

  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and performance benchmarking. 

  • Work with Databricks and JNode for data-driven testing and backend validation. 

  • Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues. 

  • Utilize AWS services, including MongoDB and DynamoDB, for cloud-based testing and monitoring. 

  • Create dashboards and visualizations using Tableau to communicate performance trends and KPIs. 

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies. 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 

  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in performance and backend test automation. 

  • Experience with IRS IRMF, IMF or BMF systems (highly desirable). 

Performance Testing: 

  • Demonstrated experience in performance, load, stress, and volume testing for cloud-based SOA applications. 

  • Strong knowledge of API performance testing, including RESTful services and Microservices. 

  • Experience with tools such as: 

  • LOADRUNNER, JMETER, Parasoft SOAtest w/Loadtest, ReadyAPI, SOAP UI 

  • GitHub, JIRA, Eggplant, Subject7, IBM Rational tools (RFT, EWM, ELM, ETM) 

  • Automation & Scripting: 

  • Proficient in Java and Python for developing custom test scripts and utilities. 

  • Experience with JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, and other automation frameworks. 

  • Ability to build and maintain performance test environments and simulate real-world user behavior. 

DevOps & Agile Integration: 

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests into DevOps workflows. 

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Kanban boards, and continuous testing practices. 

  • Familiarity with Maestro suite (JIRA and Confluence) for test management and documentation. 

Other Technical Expertise: 

  • Backend Automation Tools: TestNG, JUnit, SoapUI, SeleniumHD 

  • Performance Testing Tools: JMeter, LoadRunner (optional), Parasoft SOAtest 

  • Scripting Languages: Java, Python 

  • CI/CD & Version Control: Jenkins, GitHub 

  • Data & Querying: SQL, Databricks, JNode 

  • Cloud & Databases: AWS, MongoDB, DynamoDB 

  • Visualization & Reporting: Tableau 

  • Agile & DevOps: Experience working in Agile teams with CI/CD delivery pipelines 

Preferred/Nice to Have Skills: 

  • Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, or containerized environments. 

  • Familiarity with security testing (SSL, TLS, digital certificates). 

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
