Client is seeking a professional, skilled tradesperson to join their team.

Position Summary

The Carpenter performs skilled work in the construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of structures and fixtures on both commercial and residential projects for a general contractor. This role requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and adherence to strict safety and quality standards. The Carpenter works independently and as part of a team to complete assignments efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including layout, framing, formwork, finish carpentry, and installation of doors, windows, hardware, and building components.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Identify problems on the job and develop practical, effective solutions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety protocols to ensure an accident-free workplace.
• Use materials, supplies, and equipment efficiently to reduce waste and control project costs.
• Safely operate and maintain hand tools and power tools.
• Complete assigned tasks and special projects from supervisors promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with superintendents, assistant superintendents, and foremen to achieve project milestones.
• Produce high-quality workmanship that meets company and project standards.
• Manage time effectively to complete tasks within scheduled timelines.
• Professionally accept direction and constructive feedback.
• Demonstrate flexibility and dependability, including the ability to work overtime, nights, or weekends when required.
• Follow infection control and cleanliness procedures when working in occupied or sensitive environments (e.g., schools, offices, healthcare settings).
• Exhibit initiative, motivation, and a strong work ethic with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of carpentry or general construction experience (apprenticeship or equivalent preferred).
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and standard carpentry techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of general construction methods and job site safety.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills; bilingual preferred.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to high-quality craftsmanship.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments, indoors and outdoors.
