POSITION DESCRIPTION
The selected candidate will be a part of ICE-CS ServiceNow Platform Team as Senior ServiceNow Developer. This position requires an experienced professional with understanding of the ServiceNow platform and ITSM modules. System Analysts support (development, administration, maintenance) enterprise production systems and associated applications and realms in support of institutional customers.
The selected candidate will work as a Senior ServiceNow Developer to support the development, configuration, administration, and maintenance of custom configurations for the Weapons Facilities Office, including custom catalog items, Service Portal Development, and custom task development.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Work closely with members of the ServiceNow Tools Team, as well as other IT-related groups who use ServiceNow on a regular basis.
- Proactively monitor, provide recommendations, and implement changes to improve the quality and efficiency of solutions developed.
- Design, develop, modify, test, debug and evaluate workflow solutions to meet functional requirements outlined for the ServiceNow team.
- Assist in gathering of business requirements as well as provide recommendations and implementation solutions based on those requirements.
- Work with process specialists in the design of new forms and workflow, as well as customization of existing forms and workflow to best fit their identified needs.
- Prepare documentation for developed workflow solutions, training, and user guides.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Eight years or more experience working with administration and development of ServiceNow forms and workflows,
- Experience with configuring and administering ServiceNow Modules such as ITSM, Knowledge, CMDB, and HRSD,
- Strong troubleshooting skills,
- Strong project management and attention to detail skills,
- Ability to identify opportunities to design and implement process improvements,
- Understanding of ITIL framework, workflows, and integration,
- Understanding of Agile Development framework,
- Ability to work well with others across multiple teams to gather, anticipate, track, and incorporate new requirements while maintaining configuration management and version control,
- Familiarity with federal government security requirements, and ability to implement and assess effectiveness of security controls,
- Eight years or more experience working with administration and development of ServiceNow forms and workflows,
- Experience developing custom integrations to 3rd party software and platforms,
- Experience implementing service now application modules,
- Experience developing custom applications in the ServiceNow platform,
- Strong familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle.Ability to work in a diverse work environment,
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening in accordance with Federal requirements (details below),
- Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- ServiceNow certifications,
- ITIL v4 framework and processes certification,
- Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for project management,
- Familiarity with Atlassian Confluence for documentation,
- Familiarity with Java and JavaScript programming,
- SQL language for use with Microsoft SQL or Oracle databases.
