We’re looking for a confident, collaborative ATC/OTC Clinic Lead to support high-quality orthopedic care while serving as the on-site clinical leader for one of our satellite clinic locations.

This is a unique opportunity to blend direct patient care with clinical leadership and operational coordination—without formal direct reports. You’ll be a trusted mentor, problem-solver, and partner to providers and staff, helping ensure smooth clinic flow and an exceptional patient experience.

What You’ll Do

As the Clinic Lead, you’ll play a key role in both patient care and daily clinic operations, including:

Clinical Leadership & Operations

  • Serve as the on-site clinical lead, coordinating daily workflow and delegating tasks within scope of practice
  • Collaborate closely with the Patient Access Manager and Clinic Manager to support efficient operations
  • Assist with provider and APP scheduling and proactively address staffing or workflow challenges
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing guidance for staff and students
  • Provide feedback and input to leadership regarding staff performance and clinic operations

Direct Orthopedic Patient Care

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs and measurements
  • Perform casting, splinting, bracing, and DME fitting within scope
  • Assist with injections, procedures, and imaging as allowed
  • Support physicians during patient assessments, exams, and procedures
  • Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
  • Assist with urgent scheduling needs, patient calls, and coordination between clinical and administrative teams

Care Coordination & Compliance

  • Collaborate with surgical scheduling teams to coordinate pre-op testing, patient education, and follow-up care
  • Ensure documentation, orders, and signatures are completed accurately and on time
  • Support surgery reconciliations, consult documentation, and billing workflows
  • Promote safety, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) or Certified Orthopedic Technologist (OTC)
  • Active, unrestricted license/certification as required by the State of Maine
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic or musculoskeletal clinical setting
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred

  • Previous clinic lead, senior clinical, or informal leadership experience
  • Strong working knowledge of orthopedic workflows and procedures

Skills That Set You Apart

  • Strong clinical competency within orthopedic scope of practice
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Professional, compassionate approach to patient care
  • Proficiency with EMRs and standard office software
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based culture
  • Commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and organizational values

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Leadership opportunity without formal direct reports
  • Meaningful mix of hands-on patient care and clinic leadership
  • Collaborative team environment with supportive providers and staff
  • Opportunity to mentor others and influence clinic operations
  • Stable, mission-driven orthopedic practice focused on quality care
