Position Summary 

V-Tech Solutions is hiring Smoking Enforcement Investigators to help safeguard public health by enforcing smoke-free workplaces and public space laws in Washington, DC. Investigators will conduct field inspections, respond to complaints, and support compliance efforts throughout the district. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct routine and complaint-driven inspections of workplaces and public places 

  • Respond promptly to public complaints 

  • Inspect for smoking violations and signage compliance 

  • Perform undercover or unannounced surveillance as needed 

  • Issue notices of infractions and document findings 

  • Conduct follow-up inspections and verify corrective actions 

  • Provide compliance guidance to businesses and establishments 

  • Provide outreach and education to businesses and establishments on smoke-free laws, exemption processes, signage requirements, and corrective procedures 

  • Maintain accurate records and timely reports 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, Environmental Health, or related field 

  • 1–3 years of investigative or enforcement experience 

Skills 

  • Strong observation and documentation skills 

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance 

  • Excellent communication and time management 

 

Pay Range
$42.34   Hourly to $42.34   Hourly
