About the Role
Source2, an Adaptive Recruiting Solutions firm, is seeking a Business Development Representative who serves as an early-stage new business advisor, not just a meeting setter. In this role, we partner with senior Talent Acquisition, HR, and Operations leaders to uncover hiring challenges, connect those challenges to real business impact, and open the door to our consulting and tech-enabled RPO solutions.
Do you enjoy digging into complex business problems, asking smart questions, and having conversations that actually matter? If you’re curious, business-minded, ambitious, and energized by thoughtful outreach and meaningful conversations, this role could be a great fit for how we work!
The pay for this position is $55k - $75k per year based on experience + lucrative commission program.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Prospecting
- Represent the company professionally with senior-level prospects, establishing credibility and trust from the first interaction
- Implement highly personalized outbound outreach to generate qualified meetings that align with strategic business needs
- Maintain strong activity with a hunter approach focused on quality over volume, prioritizing thoughtful engagement over mass outreach
Research & Targeting
- Identify and prioritize target accounts aligned to the ideal client profile, ensuring outreach is focused and intentional
- Use tools such as ZoomInfo, HubSpot, and LinkedIn to identify buying signals, key decision-makers, and account-level insights
- Map partners and uncover warm introduction paths when possible to support more effective and informed outreach
Consultative Qualification
- Lead early-stage discovery conversations to uncover hiring gaps, recruiting inefficiencies, and broader operational challenges
- Ask structured, thoughtful questions to understand hiring volume, funnel breakdowns, and current recruiter capacity
- Translate recruiting challenges into clear business impact that resonates with senior partners
- Schedule well-qualified discovery meetings for internal subject matter experts to advance conversations appropriately
Pipeline Development & Insights
- Identify multi-stakeholder buying groups, including Talent Acquisition, HR, Operations, and Finance partners
- Position low-risk entry points such as pilots or focused hiring initiatives to support early momentum
- Share prospect insights and objections to help refine messaging, positioning, and targeting strategies
Process
- Track all activity and engagement in HubSpot (CRM) to ensure visibility and consistency
- Maintain organized follow-up across longer enterprise sales cycles, balancing persistence with professionalism
- Partner closely with sales, marketing, and delivery teams to support alignment and execution
What Success Looks Like
- Creates business-focused conversations rather than service pitches, centered on real client needs
- Surfaces real hiring pain and multi-stakeholder opportunities through effective discovery
- Consistently books high-quality, well-qualified meetings that move opportunities forward
- Builds a strong pipeline aligned to enterprise talent solutions
What we’re looking for:
Required
- 2+ years of experience in BDR/SDR or business development within B2B services
- Experience prospecting into mid-market or enterprise organizations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using CRM and prospecting tools such as HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn
- Exposure to Corporate HR functions, Talent Acquisition, RPO, recruiting, or workforce solutions (preferred)
- Familiarity with recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, funnel conversion, and retention (preferred)
- Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles (preferred)
What We Value
- Business curiosity and strong discovery skills
- Consultative, outcome-focused communication
- Persistence and comfort with longer sales cycles
- Systems thinking and attention to detail
