Regional Property Manager - Multifamily
About This Opportunity
We're seeking a dynamic Regional Property Manager to lead operations across our growing multifamily portfolio in South Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic leader to make a meaningful impact on a Class B portfolio of 1,500 units. Based in Charleston with portfolio responsibilities spanning Charleston and Columbia, you'll drive excellence in financial performance, operational efficiency, marketing strategy, and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial performance and budgeting across the 1,500-unit multifamily portfolio, ensuring profitability and strong returns
- Direct day-to-day operations at multiple properties, maintaining high standards of property maintenance and resident services
- Lead and mentor property management teams across Charleston and Columbia locations, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to maximize occupancy rates and rental income
- Ensure exceptional customer service and resident satisfaction through quality management practices
- Implement operational best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize costs
- Monitor market trends and competitive positioning to maintain portfolio competitiveness
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of multifamily property management experience, with at least 2 years in a regional or portfolio management role
- Proven track record managing properties with 1,000+ units
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage budgets and P&L statements
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in property management software
- Knowledge of multifamily industry standards and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between properties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation or similar professional certification
- Experience with Class B multifamily properties
- Background in marketing and leasing strategy
- Experience managing teams across multiple locations
- Knowledge of South Carolina real estate market
