Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with hands-on experience using Sage Accounting Software to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with financial reporting. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries

• Maintain and reconcile financial records using Sage Accounting Software

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data

• Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting

• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports

• Support payroll processing and related reconciliations as needed

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations

• Assist with internal and external audits

• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• 2+ years of accounting experience required

• Hands-on experience with Sage Accounting Software (Sage 50, Sage 100, or similar)

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with payroll processing

• Experience in construction, industrial, or service-based industries

• Knowledge of GAAP standards
