At Genesis Custom Chemical Blending, we custom engineer High-Quality Chemical Solutions.

To ensure that our products meet the highest standards, we are looking for a lab technician to join our 2^nd shift team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment. He or she will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. The lab tech will also develop and validate test methods, as well as investigate and troubleshoot quality issues and work with plant personnel to correct off-spec production batches.

Duties & Responsibilities

•        Perform physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods according to established methods and procedures

•        Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods as needed

•        Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all testing data

•        Investigate out-of-specification test results and take appropriate corrective action

•        Perform root cause analysis on process and product non-conformances

•        Monitor compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements

•        Make recommendations for improvements to existing quality control systems

•        Monday - Friday, Saturday as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

•        Prior lab experience, including wet chemistry preparation & analytical methods

•        Manual titrations

•        Must have HPLC experience (sample prep, routine maintenance, software processing)

•        Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000)

•        Working knowledge of LIMS systems

•        Excellent attention to detail

•        Strong communication skills

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

•        2-3 years' experience working in a quality control laboratory

•        Experience leading projects and teams

•        Good knowledge of MS Office and databases
