Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Industrial Painter Helper to assist skilled painters with surface preparation, coating applications, and general labor duties. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in industrial painting and coatings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist painters with surface preparation including sanding, grinding, and cleaning
• Mix paints, coatings, and other materials as directed
• Mask, tape, and cover surfaces to protect areas not being painted
• Load and unload equipment and materials
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
• Assist with scaffolding setup and breakdown when needed
• Perform other general labor duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial painting or general labor preferred, but not required
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, climb, bend, and stand for long periods
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Preferred Skills

• Experience with sandblasting or coatings
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards (OSHA)
• Experience working in construction, shipyard, or industrial settings
