V-Tech Solutions is seeking an Outreach Specialist to support DC Health’s Early Childhood Health Division. This role provides in-home outreach and community engagement through the SafeCare program to families with children ages 0–5. The Outreach Specialist will engage families, conduct weekly outreach, provide assessments and referrals, and connect families to resources that promote child health, safety, and positive parent-child interactions.

Location: Washington, DC

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting weekly outreach to families
• Completing assessments and providing referrals
• Managing a caseload and supporting family engagement
• Delivering education on child health, safety, and parenting
• Conducting community outreach, particularly in Wards 5, 7, and 8, to increase program awareness and participation

Qualifications & Education:

• At least one (1) year of specialized and/or lived experience related to social services, public health, education, or a similar field
• Preferred (not required):
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in public health, psychology, education, social services, or a related field, OR
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in social services, education, or public health, particularly in child  health, behavioral health, or early childhood

• Problem-solving and resource referral skills to address family needs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment & Pay:
This is a field-based position requiring travel to client homes and community locations. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Pay: $22.84 per hour.
Contract runs through September 2026, with possible extension.
