Position: Mechanic
Location: Covington, LA
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment and vehicles while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues.
• Repair and replace defective parts and components.
• Conduct inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience with diesel engines, heavy equipment, or industrial equipment is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions.
