Become a Key Player as a Materials Planner

You will keep production moving by controlling backlog, planning materials, and coordinating purchases so the organization meets delivery commitments. You will work closely with contracts, purchasing, receiving/shipping, and production teams to ensure timely flow of parts. This role is onsite on a standard daytime shift (5x8 days).

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

• Monitor and maintain the sales backlog for assigned planner codes
• Liaise with Contracts to load new sales orders and ensure proper lead-times
• Raise delivery notes and prioritize material handling to meet schedule requirements
• Coordinate purchasing and expedite orders to satisfy production schedules and financial needs
• Review MRP messages, generate work orders, and issue purchase orders based on MRP outputs
• Identify potential late deliveries and implement recovery plans
• Process changes, reschedules, and outside processing to achieve production goals
• Negotiate pricing and delivery terms consistent with schedule needs

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

• Bachelor's degree (required)
• 2–4 years of planning experience
• 5 years in production control including material/inventory management in a defense or aerospace environment
• Past MRP/ERP experience (required)
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to prioritize workload, communicate professionally with management, peers, suppliers, and customers, and exercise sound judgment under changing conditions

Here's What Else Might Help You Out

• Knowledge of JDE MRP system
• SAP experience (desirable)
• General knowledge of machine shop practices and processing standards
• Understanding of military and commercial standards

Pay Range

$46.91 - $58.64/hour
