Become a Key Player as a Scheduler
You will coordinate material movement and help keep production running on time, supporting shop-floor operations and production planners. This role has an onsite, first-shift schedule (start time 7:00 AM; 5x8 days) for a 6–9 month contract (direct-hire possibility for the right candidate). Your work directly impacts delivery schedules and customer commitments.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Update production and inventory control systems with timely, accurate information
- Stage and coordinate work to meet schedules and utilize resources effectively
- Communicate with support groups to resolve work orders on hold and scheduling conflicts
- Split work orders, generate travelers, and coordinate with inspection and other groups
- Track work order and purchase order status and prepare customer status reports
- Develop and maintain recovery schedules (ESDs) to support customer requirements
- Coordinate release of materials/components to fill shortages and support AOG/expedited jobs
- Monitor and coordinate packaging and material handling (forklift, dolly, hand truck, carts)
- Participate in team meetings to implement plans to meet schedules, quality, and cost goals
- Train and assist less experienced employees and adhere to safety rules
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Approximately 2 years of dispatching, shop scheduling, or production planning experience in a computerized manufacturing system, or demonstrated ability to perform the described responsibilities
- Knowledge of material requirements planning, capacity planning, and shop floor control
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical material movement
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as a participative team player

Pay Range
$26.70 - $33.37/hour
