Become a Key Player as a Planner
You will help ensure production meets customer service, inventory, and configuration objectives by planning and controlling production schedules and material requirements. You will work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, inventory control, and shipping/receiving to keep material flowing and production on track. This role supports day shifts and aligns to a 40-hour guaranteed work week.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Identify raw material and component requirements from engineering and production specifications and maintain accurate item master schedules and bills of materials.
- Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production issues.
- Prepare work orders or purchase requests to support the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
- Schedule and expedite movement of parts (move orders/stock transfers) to meet customer shipping dates and support assembly build schedules.
- Analyze inventory usage, scrap, and waste; identify root causes that impact inventory objectives.
- Monitor component shortages and prepare short-term shortage layouts across assigned programs.
- Maintain configuration control on open orders and required data files per division procedures.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure smooth material flow and consistent status/priorities.
- Recommend process or product changes to improve efficiency and reduce cost using continuous improvement principles.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional networks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and aerospace industry regulations and internal policies.
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Some college coursework completed; bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field preferred or in progress.
- OR passed the CPIM basics exam and committed to achieving CPIM certification.
- OR completed a production and inventory control certification program.
- Experience working with production scheduling, MRP/BOM accuracy, and materials planning.
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, QA, Shipping/Receiving).

- Prior experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments.
Pay Range
$18.21 - $22.76/hour
