Become a Key Player as an Electromechanical Assembler 3
You will support production of electronic and electromechanical assemblies, driving quality and throughput for the team. You will work onsite on a first shift schedule (5:30 AM – 2:00 PM) and collaborate with Quality, Production Control, and Engineering to meet weekly assignments and production targets. Your work ensures mission-critical assemblies meet specifications and schedule.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Perform semi-repetitive to repetitive electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly work
- Apply ESD controls, soldering, epoxy mixing/bonding, cable harness and PCB assembly, and mechanical assembly of small parts
- Interpret blueprints, job travelers, test specifications, service bulletins, and quality directives to complete work
- Perform high-voltage potting and high-voltage testing and operate up to 12kV hipot equipment
- Maintain productivity, quality, and weekly assignment schedules; identify and eliminate production bottlenecks
- Report safety, FOD, failures, parts shortages, and discrepancies to your supervisor promptly
- Lead and participate in lean initiatives and suggest process improvements
- Ensure equipment calibration is maintained per schedule; perform other related duties as assigned
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- High school diploma or GED
- Six (6) or more years of related electronics assembly experience
- Certification to IPC Specialist and J-STD-001
- Proficient microelectronic assembly skills, cable harness and PCB assembly, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and procedure manuals
- Basic computer skills to log work orders and access timecards
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and meet vision requirements for close and color vision
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
- Experience with resistance welding and working under microscopes
- Familiarity with torque wrench use and small-parts torque requirements
- Prior involvement in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
Pay Range
$21.60 - $27.00/hour
