You will lead the organization’s next chapter, shaping strategy, partnerships, and long-term financial sustainability to ensure the waterfront remains welcoming, vibrant, and inclusive. You will work closely with the Board, staff, public agencies, philanthropic partners, and community stakeholders to strengthen internal capacity and public impact. Onsite in Seattle, WA.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Define and translate a strategic vision into focused organizational priorities and measurable outcomes
- Strengthen organizational capacity, culture, communication, and accountability across staff and leadership
- Advocate for the park and negotiate with government partners, shaping management agreements and public-private relationships
- Build and mobilize coalitions across public, private, philanthropic, and community partners to advance programming and stewardship
- Develop and implement a diversified, sustainable financial model combining philanthropy, government support, corporate partnerships, grants, and earned revenue
- Represent the organization publicly, building trust and visibility across the region
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Proven executive leadership in complex, public-facing organizations with responsibility for strategy and people leadership
- Demonstrated experience navigating government and civic environments with political sophistication and sound judgment
- Strong track record of coalition and relationship building across diverse stakeholders
- Experience in financial stewardship, including aligning philanthropy, public investment, and earned revenue toward sustainability
- Ability to lead change with humility, emotional intelligence, and clear decision-making

Pay Range
$280,000 - $340,000/year
