Become a Key Player as an NDT Technician 2

You will perform non-destructive testing on sheet metal aircraft components to ensure product conformity and safety. You will work on the first shift with a 4x10 schedule (Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM) in an onsite production environment, collaborating with inspectors, technicians, and supervisors to support manufacturing outcomes. Your work directly impacts inspection quality, production throughput, and regulatory compliance.

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

  • Process parts and interpret NDT findings according to organizational and customer specifications
  • Follow and update NDT technique sheets and ensure revisions meet requirements
  • Support and assist junior NDT technicians with inspections
  • Accurately document inspection findings and maintain manufacturing planning entries
  • Create and revise NDT technique sheets per requirements
  • Generate radiographic x-ray film for simple and complex part geometry
  • Detect faulty processes and escalate to the applicable NDT technician or supervisor
  • Evaluate NDT methods and propose improvements to productivity and effectiveness
  • Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
  • Interpret written instructions, sketches, schedules, and engineering drawings
  • Perform work according to established standards and safety procedures

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

  • Required NDT hours and active certifications
  • Certified in FPI (fluorescent penetrant inspection), radiographic inspection, and digital x-ray inspection
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing planning, engineering blueprints, and sketches
  • Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of shop math and precision measurement equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to anticipate problems in manufacturing and implement effective inspection techniques

Pay Range

$33.84 - $42.30/hour
