Become a Key Player as a Quality Inspector 2
You will ensure product quality and conformity by inspecting components and assemblies across production stages, enabling the team to meet aerospace quality standards and delivery expectations. You will interact with auditors and cross-functional stakeholders to support AS9100/ISO compliance. Onsite — Monday–Friday, first shift (approximately 5:00am–1:30pm).
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Conduct examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, and components at various production stages to ensure compliance with standards
- Perform visual and mechanical inspections of assemblies, soldered connections, and piece parts
- Use gauges, calipers, micrometers, filler gauges, torque checks, and other test equipment to verify dimensional and functional conformity
- Prepare and complete documentation reporting acceptance or rejection of inspected/tested items
- Participate in analysis of process statistical data to confirm compliance or identify deviations
- Conduct internal audits and follow up on corrective actions; engage with auditors to support compliance activities
- Identify and report design, process, or other inefficiencies and quality concerns
- Perform first article inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 when required
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- 2+ years relevant inspection/quality experience (2–5 years typical)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches
- Hands-on experience using gauges, calipers, torque tools, lead partition gauges, filler gauges, and micrometers
- Experience with ISO 9001 and aerospace quality standards such as AS9100
- Experience performing first article inspections (AS9102)
- Comfortable engaging with auditors to support AS9100/ISO compliance
- Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field; Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient computer skills and ability to follow established job instructions with minimal supervision
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
- Certification or training in Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T per ASME Y14.5)
- Formal ISO 9001, AS9100, or AS9102 certifications
Pay Range
$22.40 - $28.00/hour
