Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented General Custodian to maintain a church facility in Jacksonville, FL. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping facilities clean, organized, and welcoming.

Position Details

• Location: Jacksonville, FL
• Schedule:
  • Monday: 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Thursday: 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Sunday: 3–4 hours in the afternoon
• Pay: $15.00 per hour
• Start Date: Immediate openings available

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, classrooms, hallways, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
• Restock restroom and janitorial supplies
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
• Perform additional custodial duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and dependable attendance
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a background check
