Become a Key Player as an NDT Technician II

You will perform critical nondestructive inspections that ensure aerospace components meet safety and quality standards. In this role you will work onsite in a manufacturing and inspection laboratory environment on a full-time day shift (7:00am–4:00pm), collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams to support product compliance and audit readiness.

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

  • Perform Level II Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) on aerospace components in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
  • Perform Level II Ultrasonic Testing (UT) inspections, including setup, calibration, testing, and evaluation of results.
  • Interpret inspection indications against acceptance/rejection criteria and document findings in inspection reports and records.
  • Verify equipment calibration, perform daily system performance checks, and maintain NDT equipment and work areas.
  • Review work instructions, blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure correct inspection execution.
  • Identify and segregate nonconforming material and initiate required documentation; support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
  • Assist with training and mentoring of Level I technicians and trainees.

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

  • Current or previously certified Level II in FPI and UT (NAS410, SNT-TC-1A, or equivalent).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of NDT inspection experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and process instructions.
  • Working knowledge of NDT standards, procedures, and quality system requirements.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inspection reporting systems.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 35 pounds, and meet visual/color acuity requirements for FPI.

Here's What Else Might Help You Out

  • Additional NDT certifications (MT, ET, RT, VT, etc.).
  • Experience with customer specifications from major aerospace OEMs.
  • Familiarity with NADCAP requirements and audits.

Pay Range

$40.00 - $50.00/hour
