Position Summary
A Pilot Plant Technician will be responsible for preparing sample fruit preparations as well as ensuring standards are met in the relevant production and storage areas.Key accountabilities:
Pilot Plant Cooking:

Cook pilot plant batches for Food & Beverage customers daily according to established procedures

Adjust cook formulas to specifications detailed on the procedures
-
Perform quality testing on customer sample batches: pH and Brix
-
Operate, clean and maintain pilot scale equipment as part of daily tasks

Support the New Product Development Team leaders by reporting any issues concerning materials, equipment and ability to meet objectives

Participate in internal or cross functional projects as team members

Maintain accurate records of run conditions; including analytical data, process data, and labeling
Inventory:
-
Maintain proper inventory levels to minimum Stock quantities

Pull raw materials needed for next day’s schedule

Conduct Cycle Counts on assigned inventory lists
Sanitation:
-
Perform scheduled sanitation tasks
-
Maintain clean, sanitary and safe pilot plant environment ensuring compliance to GMP, GLP, FDA and internal quality standards
Required:
-
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
-
English Language Fluency with reading, writing, and speaking
-
Basic Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and internet navigation, as well as basic data entry skills
-
Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
-
Must be able to remove all jewelry/piercings
-
Good interpersonal skills
Preferred:
-
SAP experience is a plus
-
Associate’s degree
Skills:
- Looking for experience in food manufacturing, industrial kitchen, pilot-scale operations, or GMP environments
Position requires working onsite in Brecksville, Ohio.
