SUMMARY: 

We are seeking a Philadelphia-based, part-time Consultant to join our ​team.​ This role requires 15 hours per week during ​​​​​​the hours of 8 – 5pm ET beginning ​​July 2024 – July 2025 for this particular project. However, there may be an opportunity for an extension if the contract is renewed and scope remains. 

This Consultant will play a key role on the Philadelphia team, partnering with school leaders, primarily, and at times with district leaders to assess, plan, implement and evaluate strategies to improve student achievement and school performance. Consultants provide specialized support for projects under the direction of a team leader and are responsible for major elements of projects.   

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead client facing meetings. 

  • Build trusting relationships with partners to influence and inspire action and leverage relational vs. positional authority. 

  • Own an element or small piece of a scope of work. 

  • N​avigate​ nuances across stakeholders,​including managing their own resources and time. 

  • Primary point of contact and lead for client facing meetings​​ ​​including design and facilitation of ​school leadership team meetings, implementation meetings, ​work sessions, professional development, ​school improvement ​planning​, and occasional, pre-planned on-site school visits. 

  • ​​​Operationalize a scope of work (e.g. take big goals and objectives and create a concrete plan).   

  • Collaboration and coordination with internal team members and district partners, as needed. 

  • Collaborate with Managing Director/Manager to ensure ongoing communication, updates, and/or problem solving as needed. 

  • Documentation of supports provided to schools. 

​​REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:​     ​​​     ​ 

  • Have at least ​​5​​ years of experience for those who have worked within or in partnership with K12 schools​​​ or districts and responsible for coaching, consulting, and/or developing Principals, school leaders, or school leadership teams.  

  • Philadelphia-based 

  • Hold a bachelor's degree. 

  • Have a willingness to travel ​on average 1-2 ​​times ​​per ​month to partner sites 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Data Specialist background  

  • Expertise in K-12 Math 

Compensation and Benefits

  • An hourly rate of $75-$95 depending on contract and commensurate with experience
