Job Title: Project Director
Reports to: Colorado Managing Director
Location: Denver, Colorado
Position Overview
Open Answer is an integrity-driven 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization committed to community outreach, connection, and empowerment. We achieve this by connecting with people face-to-face at their homes on behalf of candidates, issues, and advocacy organizations that share our values. Open Answer Mobilize, our 501(c)(3), non-political and non-partisan arm, mobilizes community members around civic engagement, conducts qualitative and quantitative survey collection to inform policy recommendations, and connects eligible residents to direct services.
The Project Director is a member of the Open Answer leadership team. The Project Director plays a critical role as the eyes and ears on the ground for the Managing Director to ensure project goals are met, and in a similar vein convey those goals to the mobilizers (aka “canvassers”). The Project Director should be a bridge between our client-facing needs, and our mobilizing staff, ensuring training, materials, and daily operations lead to overall success of our field programs.
Responsibilities

● Track and input field numbers and campaign progress on a daily basis to ensure success.
● Assist in creating lists, cutting turf, and assigning turf in the Voter Activation Network (VAN).

● Serve as the canvassing team’s first point of contact for daily field needs: ○ While the Program Director has the authority to make real-time decisions on behalf of the mobilizing team, the Managing Director should be queued in and serve as a thought partner on all field and program-related needs and issues.
● In the Managing Director’s absence and when necessary, serve as the main point of contact for the Executive Director.
● In the Managing Director’s absence, collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure staff and client needs are being met, and all communication channels are upheld.
