Description

This position provides data analysis to Department of Defense (DOD) customers at the Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point (MOTSU) Directorate of Public Works (DPW). The Real Property and GFEBS Specialist position will focus on maintaining Real Property financial data in General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) in order to ensure that MOTSU remains audit ready. The ideal candidate should possess great organizational skills, attention to detail, and be an effective communicator with the government client. This role provides support by performing updates, inputs, and edits within GFEBS and performing data analysis. The Real Property specialist will also ensure that reporting in GFEBS is consistent with information in the Real Property physical and digital folders including financial transactions with construction agents and maintenance records. Tasks include tracking construction projects across the installation, maintaining financial records, ensuring data adheres to business rules, assembling and submitting samples for audit, and assisting MOTSU civilian personnel with analysis tasks. The position will also require that the Real Property Specialist conduct routine physical inventories of Real Property. The analyst will review financial asset records to make sure reporting is complete and accurate.

Understanding of office automation and quick learning of new technologies is critical. Previous work with GFEBS is preferred but not required as the role will require the Real Property Specialist to take GFEBS training to obtain system access. The candidate must display proficiency and solid understanding of various types of structures, building uses, asset category codes, construction terminology, business related computer systems and office equipment within 30 days of hire. Within 60 days, the candidate must display proficiency in GFEBS Real Property management and business best practices. The Real Property Analyst is required to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, troubleshoot, problem solve, and implement processes. The analyst will work closely with the other Real Property Specialist and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist. Familiarity with GIS technologies is not required. Position reports to the Areli Project Manager.

Requirements:

High school diploma and 3-5 years of administrative clerical experience. Professional customer service skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. The analyst must hold a valid driver’s license. Candidate must be a US citizen and is required to pass and maintain a National Agency Check Investigation (NACI). Federal contractors working at a federal government site must show proof of COVID vaccination to enter the government facility. Must be local to the Wilmington/Southport area. The analyst must work onsite at the MOTSU Department of Public Works.

Indicate on your resume/application if you have a Common Access Card (CAC) within the past two years or have experience with GFEBS real property data entry.
