Job Summary:
The Operations Co-Op will be responsible for the development and improvement of processes associated with the fabrication of medical devices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong internal working relationships across restor3d.
- Understand the objectives, responsibilities, and mission of the Operations department and work towards those goals.
- Prioritize and plan work activities; adapt for changing conditions.
- Development and Implementation of processes in support of fabrication of medical devices including but not limited to implants, instruments, and production aids.
- Create and optimize supply chain processes in support of Sales and Operations Planning.
- Assist in assessing analytics for inventory management such as inventory cycles, customer usage and new product integration planning.
- Time in motion studies and analytics thereof for existing processes.
- Support ERP implementation initiatives
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and manage implementation.
- Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering departments as needed.
- Train and assist line operators on manufacturing processes.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college in an engineering discipline (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, etc.) is required.
- Ability to work a minimum of 3 co-op terms in Durham, NC (alternating with academic semesters)
- High aptitude with systems
- High mathematical and analytical aptitude is required
- Working knowledge of 3D printing and modeling is preferred.
