Job Description -Senior Network Operations Center Analyst
P97 is currently hiring multiple Senior Network Operations Center Analysts in our Houston, Texas, headquarters which provides 24/7/365 support to our customers globally. This is a hands-on technical role in which you will be organizing and administering help desk activities. The development environment is largely Microsoft centric (.NET, C#) with infrastructure on the Azure cloud. Currently, task management and service desk activities are managed using the Atlassian software suite and experience with JIRA or Confluence is a plus, but not essential.
The Senior Network Operations Center Analyst is essentially the customer service department to our end clients and you have the opportunity to make a significant impression on the customer satisfaction and acceptance of our leading-edge products. Authorization to work permanently in the USA without sponsorship is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
§ Responsible for change control management
§ Mentor and train new team members in the Network Operations Center
§ Operational Service Delivery Responsibilities
o Strong execution skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and deliver quality results within standards and meet deadlines.
o Experience managing user network access (new users, change in user access, and user terminations).
o Responsible for server folder and share security
o Responsible for maintaining and updating security groups and distribution lists.
o Ability to escalate issues appropriately that cannot be readily solved by the NOC analyst team to the product development team
o Responsible for capacity analysis, forecasting, and planning for hardware and supporting software end-of-life, disk space, processor, and memory utilization
o Design, document, and execute periodic system and support software maintenance routines.
o Design, document, and configure systems for monitoring and supporting software.
o Assist with periodic audits for PCI and security by providing documentation, data, and an explanation of policies and processes for analysis by the security and audit teams.
o Assist with disaster recovery planning, set-up, and testing analysis.
§ Break-Fix Responsibilities
o Liaise with Development team to provide production support and issue resolution.
o Analyze and resolve systems and supporting software related issues.
Success Factors
§ Ability to visualize technical problems from verbal descriptions, use a disciplined approach to troubleshoot the problem, provide clear instructions, and obtain feedback to confirm the actions taken were successful during the problem resolution process.
§ Customer Support Responsibilities
o Manage a large volume of incoming calls
o Provide after hours and weekend on-call support as requested on a rotating basis
o Excel at providing professional customer service skills initiating active listening skills during phone contact.
o Strong analytical and organizational skills with an attention to detail.
o Ability to tactfully handle stressful and difficult situations
Minimum Requirements
§ Bachelor’s degree in IT related field (preferred) or a minimum of 2 years of technical training and/or an associate degree
§ 5 years of help desk support experience for a technical product line
§ 3 years of system administration experience
§ Experience with customer services tools – JIRA/Atlassian suite (preferred)
§ Experience with network systems using TCP/IP and supporting protocols.
§ Experience in an operations / production support role.
§ Exposure/Experience with the following is a plus including: Azure, Office 365, MCSE Certification, Exchange/Exchange online, MS SQL/Azure SQL
§ Excellent facilitation, verbal and written (formal and technical) communication skills with a solid command of the English language
§ Experience supporting a point-of-sale or retail fueling system is a plus.
