Vantage Deluxe World Travel is looking for just such a person to join our creative department, working with our team to produce catalogs, letters, emails, web content, newsletters and more to promote our lines of deluxe group travel products.
Responsibilities
- Write copy for assigned travel products and brand communications across all channels, including Web, Email (slot & triggers), Catalog, Direct Mail, Video, Social Media, CRM, PR, Fulfillment, and other customer communications and collateral (newsletters, pre-departure materials, change letters, etc.)
- Manage content for assigned division by being accountable for change forms, media updates, positioning statements and other needed edits (copy, images, videos) across all channels accurately and on-time.
- Meet deadlines; work within the process to proactively move projects to completion.
- Work cooperatively and actively with team to ensure that department goals are met.
Qualifications
- Must currently reside in a South American country or have native or more than 10+ years’ experience living and/or working in the continent. Extensive familiarity of the culture, locations, and history of South America is necessary for this role.
- At least 5 years of copy writing experience, including demonstrated proficiency in catalog, direct mail, email marketing and the Web; preferred - an experienced traveler with a passion for travel.
- Experience working as part of a creative team with demonstrated increases in responsibility.
- Ad agency as well as in house direct marketing experience is preferred
- Demonstrated ability and experience working collaboratively with senior management, product marketing and other members of the Creative Services department.
- Strong writer, able to produce descriptive, high quality copy on deadline - experience writing results oriented (direct response) copy.
- Experience with writing for social media (Twitter, Facebook), SEO, Email marketing and Renewal programs.
- An independent self starter who prioritizes work quickly, works well as part of team and can take the ball and run with it.
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing, deadline-driven environment; positive attitude - a sense of humor helps!
- Mac catalog design environment. Knowledge of Adobe CS5, Catalog Studio and Office Suite is a plus.
The right candidate for this position is someone who can take the nuts and bolts details of escorted land tours, river cruises and small ship cruises and make them soar with brilliant, crystal clear copy!
