Job Summary

Manage product inventory in order to maximize Net Profit Contribution (NPC) against the budget plan. The goal is to maximize and manage capacity to 100%.

List of Responsibilities

  • Oversee Yield Management team to ensure all daily, weekly and monthly goals are met.
  • Manage Daily and Weekly work distribution to ensure actions are processed and completed on time and accurately
  • Manage agent productivity and Department goals are being met.
  • Train and work with Yield agents on best practices for Moves, Saves and Upsell calls.
  • Handle escalated calls that come from Yield actions.
  • Work with Costings and Operations to ensure actions being taken are the most cost effective for the company.
  • Work with Flights and Operations to ensure overbooking guidelines are being met and not exceeded causing unnecessary cost to the company.
  • Work with Operations to ensure overbooking limits are properly set based on historical data to minimize the amount of downgrades
  • Monitor Yield budgets 
  • Special tasks and projects as required

Work with teams to ensure:

  • Maximization of inventory capacity to 100% by:
    • Actioning consolidation or cancellation of dates, communicating cancellations to avoid penalties, manage waitlist reports, manage allotment for assigned products by maximizing load factor through daily bookings and cancellations, managing share requests & identify opportunities to sell cabin upgrades.
    • Nurturing vendor relationship – sending regular inventory updates/requests; maintaining a smooth relationships and utilizing the technologies at hand to effectively relay information.
    • Ensuring that all available inventory is open for sale on the Vantage website as to not hinder sales
    • Actioning consolidation or cancellation of dates by communicating with passengers and successfully moving passengers to another date/trip
    • Actioning pending cancellations in order to meet or exceed save goals, while abiding by save guidelines
    • Following-up on all cancelled reservations with a rebooking offer.
  • Quality results - by achieving a a 95% quality result on the pre-trip survey by  implementing/conducting/monitoring training needs to achieve quality results.
  • Coordination of all program change letters (personalize and communicate)
  • Attending PPD to OPS Operational Turnover meetings as scheduled and conducted at 180 days prior to the first departure date
  • Assigning 92% of all cabin numbers within 72 hours of a reservation (specific products)
  • Preparing various reports as directed by department manager
  • Attending required weekly company meetings as specified

Required Skills and Experience

  • Skilled experience managing 2 – 12 headcounts in a call-center environment.
  • Must have excellent communication, managerial and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Ability to read, analyze and recommend actions promptly and effectively.
  • Ability to be meet deadlines efficiently and accurately.
  • Must be able to manage successfully in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Must work well under pressure and be able work with all levels of management and staff.
  • Excellent computer skills are mandatory.
  • SQL experience with Database Administrator preferable.
  • Some prior sales skills/experience is preferred.
  • Calm and empathetic phone manner while maintaining professional demeanor.
  • Travel experience preferred.
